How do you manage stress?

Do you want to have healthy habits in 2024?

” Average Americans only read one book in a year. Only 60% of Americans get through the first chapter of a book in a year. CEO read four books per month. Great Leaders read a book in a day.”

– Unknown

What am I missing?

My two kids are voracious readers, and they manage their stress by reading great books.

Did they get their genes from their grandparents or teachers?

When they complain that they find the classroom boring, my wisdom to them: ‘Give unto Caesar what it’s Caesar and God what is God.’

Where is my favorite meeting place?

One of my favorite places, when I am not writing or consulting(? Coaching), is the local public library or one of the bookstores in Canada.

One of my recent escapades is to a local booklore, meeting people with a similar passion, so I met Mr & Ms.Smith( Not their real names)

I asked Ms.Smith, ” What book have you read in 2023 that has profoundly affected you and that I need to read before the end of 2023?”.

While she was thinking about this… Mr Smith joined us.

He was holding three excellent books on history.

We continued the fascinating discourse about books!

He later admitted( after being challenged by his better half) that he only got through a book in 3 months.

I told them I rarely read great books as a practicing physician, but my children’s habits have now robbed me.

Both responded that’s the benefit of having children and grandchildren.

 We all busted into laughter!

Show me your friends, and I will tell you who you are. That’s so true in our lives!
